Envirolife Kenya’s Kilifi Climate Resilience Initiative addresses the urgent climate challenges faced by communities in Kilifi County, Kenya. Through a multifaceted approach including climate-smart agriculture, water harvesting, livelihood diversification, and coastal protection, the project aims to enhance community resilience to climate change impacts while promoting sustainable development. By providing training and support in climate-adaptive practices, the initiative has improved food security, diversified livelihoods, and strengthened community resilience among the local poor and marginalized populations. Through close collaboration with local stakeholders, capacity building efforts, and rigorous monitoring and evaluation, Envirolife Kenya ensures the long-term sustainability of adaptation interventions, fostering a future where communities are empowered to thrive in the face of climate uncertainty.

Kilifi Sustainable Farming Initiative

Envirolife Kenya’s Kilifi Sustainable Farming Initiative tackles the pressing issues of unsustainable agriculture and food insecurity in Kilifi County, Kenya. By promoting sustainable farming practices such as soil conservation, water management, crop diversification, and farmer training, the initiative aims to improve soil health, increase crop yields, and enhance food security while minimizing environmental degradation. Through capacity building, community empowerment, and market linkages, the project benefits local poor communities by providing them with the knowledge and resources to adopt sustainable agricultural practices, improve their livelihoods, and build resilience to climate change impacts.
